The Dance

Life has often been compared to a journey. But lately, I think it’s more like a dance.
Not the kind that demands perfection,
but the kind that flows with emotion, spontaneity, and vulnerability.
The kind you feel more than you follow.
The kind that invites both joy and missteps.

And in life, especially during hardships, this dance becomes even more delicate. Because it’s not only about how we move, but about who we become as we move.

I recently came across a quote that lingered in my thoughts:

“When a woman acts like a child, she’s with a man. When she acts like a mother, she’s with a boy.”

It struck me, not just as a comment on relationships, but as a reflection on how our environment, our partnerships, our life circumstances shape the way we show up.

Because sometimes, the version of ourselves that emerges in any chapter of life depends on the music we're dancing to and with whom we’re dancing.

Life isn’t a straight line.
It’s a rhythm.

A sway.

A breath.

A pause.

A dance.

Not the kind rehearsed on polished floors under perfect light, but the kind we do when no one’s watching.
When our feet are sore.
When the music is faint, and we’re not sure of the next step.

We all carry something.

Invisible weights.

Unseen ache.

And stress, it doesn’t always come from how big something is.

It comes from how much of us it takes to carry it.

The small things,
Those two side jobs,
That one responsibility,
The daily expectations,
They’re real.
They matter.
They take something from you..

And in my case?
My hardships aren’t breaking me.
They’re making me more human.
More aware.
More tender.

They strip away the illusion of control and remind me that to feel deeply,
Even the ache is a sign that I’m still alive.
Still trying.
Still here.

Sometimes it’s the cracks that let our humanity shine through.
And maybe that’s the whole point.
Not to be perfect.
But to be real.
To be present.
To be beautifully unfinished.

Because this dance we call life…
isn't about flawless moves.
It's about continuing to move despite the music changing.
Despite tired feet and a rhythm we sometimes can’t find.

And yet...
I keep Dancing...

Luckily, I have someone.

Someone far away in miles,
but close in the ways that matter.
Someone whose presence echoes in the silent spaces of my day.
If he were gone…
my life wouldn’t shatter.
It would pause.
Like a film waiting for its next scene.
Like breath held before a note..

He doesn’t fix the cracks.
He doesn’t erase the hardships.
But he makes the dance worth continuing.

So here I am.
Alive.
Tired.
Trying.
And still dancing.
To the quiet hum of hope.
To the rhythm of resilience.
To the song only I can hear.

And maybe that’s the point.
Not to be perfect.
But to be real.
To be present.
To be beautifully unfinished.
